after agreeing to pay the postage for a packet of information in which GMT called me, I discovered that I was now also on the hook for the $72/month. I was shocked and felt very vulnerable because I had also just given my credit card number. I checked out the website given to me and was disappointed that it was just more marketing of internet ideas... and also realized that it had nothing to do with Google at all.
I found this (SCAM.COM) website that same night and also pm'd "ITSEASYTOFIXTHIS" with no response. However to be fair, first thing next day I called and cancelled so he could have checked it and confirmed my cancellation and felt that there was no need to followup however, my cancellation was too late to stop the shipment... although my suspicion based on the misleading sales practices makes me wonder if this was true.... anyway... to be fair, the person who took my call was polite and gave me my confirmation number for the cancellation without any issues.
On Saturday morning I received a call from the same person but claiming to be from "Googletel". I told him I wasn't interested in anything from his company (firmly but politely) and hung up. There is no point in him wasting his time or mine on this call.
IMHO GMT operates in the gray zone of internet businesses. The service it provides are of questionable value and the sales practices are very misleading. For that reason I think it should be termed a scam. There is not a clear presentation of the program and its benefits and the consideration that will be paid for the benefit.
Anyway, I will not waste any more time on this company. Life is short and I've learned a valuable lesson.
